Arunuj Films Delhi successfully concluded the sixth edition of Cineshala – A Residential Workshop for Actors and Filmmakers, held from 13th to 18th December at the serene Surya Sadhna Sthali, Jhinjholi, Haryana. Participants from Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi took part in the intensive workshop.

The workshop offered comprehensive training in acting (mime, monologue, script reading), lighting, photography, and film production stages. During the program, participants collectively produced, edited, and screened two short films titled Wapsi and Hostel. A photography screening showcasing participants’ work was also organized.

Expert Mentorship and Learning Experience

The workshop featured distinguished mentors, including NSD actor Rakesh Kumar (Acting), Bhola Yadav (Mime), Shivendra Singh (Photography), and Amresh Kumar Singh from Symbiosis University, Pune (Film Production). Film director Anuj Kumar Roy conducted a special session on film direction, covering storytelling, scriptwriting, and real-world challenges faced by directors.

Mobile photography sessions by Shivendra Singh focused on photography rules, exposure triangle, and camera settings, followed by practical assignments and expert feedback. Selected photographs were showcased on the concluding day and received appreciation from the guests.

NSD alumnus Rakesh Kumar guided students through acting techniques, exercises, dialogue delivery, and audition preparation. On the final day, all participants presented monologues as part of the closing showcase.

Inspiring Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony was graced by film and television actor Santosh Shukla, known for his work in Jai Ho, Bachchan Pandey, Dabangg 3, Bigg Boss, Adaalat, and Kahani Chandrakanta. Addressing the participants, he emphasized that a successful artist must be a good human being—sensitive, responsible, disciplined, and confident. He remarked, “Destiny reflects the kind of person you are in life.”

Hemant Sharma, Vice Chairman of Surya Foundation, highlighted the importance of humility in the arts, stating that the more humble an artist is, the deeper their connection with art becomes.

The workshop followed a disciplined daily routine starting with morning bhajans, followed by acting exercises, sessions, masterclasses, creative activities, and evening cultural programs that rejuvenated participants.

The final cultural presentation featured a captivating dance performance by Adira Rajput on “Shringar Ko Rehne Do,” which enthralled the audience and marked a graceful conclusion to the workshop. All participants received certificates and mementos.

The workshop was supported by Luxurious Dreams Magazine, Margodaya, Flying Boat Foundation, and Ang Samvad. Creative materials such as posters and videos were designed by Ashish Anand and Sahil Sharma. Yoga sessions were conducted by Rinku Prajapati, while the treasure hunt activity was designed by Nitin.
