Bangalore, November 26, 2024: HGH India, a leading biannual trade show for home textiles, home décor, furniture, houseware, and gifts, is expanding its reach to South India for the first time with its 16th edition. The event will take place from December 3rd to 6th, 2024, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), marking a significant milestone for the show.
Arun Roongta, Managing Director of HGH India, explained, “Hosting the 16th edition in Bengaluru is a strategic decision. South India represents 20% of the country’s population and contributes 35% to India’s GDP, emerging as a crucial hub for manufacturing, IT, and services. With higher purchasing power and rapid growth in demand for home products, the region is quickly becoming an important market for home textiles, décor, furniture, and more.”
The region’s increasing urbanization, growing middle class, and rising demand for modern living spaces make cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Cochin ideal locations for this event. South India is already home to leading furnishing brands and retailers, with strong demand for both traditional and modern home décor and houseware products.
The 16th edition of HGH India will showcase an array of exciting highlights, including the launch of new products by Bergner India, a European cookware and kitchen appliance brand, designed specifically for South Indian cooking. Many well-known brands, such as Micro Cotton, TTK Prestige, Hawkins, and Furnitech, will return to exhibit. Additionally, there will be 200 exhibitors from around the globe, including Italy and Turkey, along with 40-50 new exhibitors from key Indian manufacturing hubs.
A special focus will be placed on sustainability with a dedicated Sustainability Pavilion, showcasing eco-friendly products. HGH India will also host the “World of Sleep” conference, with industry leaders discussing the evolving Indian sleep market and a panel on the latest houseware trends.
Supported by the Ministry of Textiles and the Ministry of MSME, HGH India will also present an Indian Heritage Pavilion, featuring artisans showcasing traditional Indian crafts such as Sanjhi Paper Art and Mysore Paintings. With the venue’s easy access via the newly operational Madavara Metro Station, HGH India promises to be an engaging and accessible event for all visitors.
The 16th edition of HGH India marks a new chapter in the trade show’s legacy, offering a perfect blend of innovation, tradition, and sustainability.
