In the village of Asthawan, near Bihar Sharif, lives a man whose life has inspired many — Advocate Md. Hamza Asthanvi. Known for his honesty and kindness, he is respected in courtrooms and among ordinary people alike.
Born to the late Md. Quasim, a respected English teacher at Madrasa Mohammadiya Asthawan, Hamza grew up with strong values of learning, honesty, and service. He studied at his village madrasa, completed school at High School Asthawan, and later studied at Allama Iqbal College, Bihar Sharif.
With a strong passion for justice, he earned a law degree from the Bihar Institute of Law, Patna. Today, he practices at the Patna High Court and District Court Nalanda, where he is known for his dedication and fairness.

Alongside his legal career, Hamza followed his interest in journalism. He studied Mass Communication at Nalanda Open University and became the Chief Editor of Bihar TV, where his clear and fearless voice speaks on social issues. His Urdu writings in papers like Al Watan Times reflect his thoughtful approach to life, often honoring his father and addressing social problems.
What truly makes him stand out is his kindness outside the spotlight. He has donated blood several times and quietly helped people in need. Whether offering free legal support or helping the poor, his actions speak louder than his words.
People across Bihar call him with love—sometimes “Patrakar Sahab,” sometimes “Advocate Sahab.” But beyond these titles, he is a person whose life reflects honesty, courage, and care.
