Dehradun, July 18, 2025 — In a major stride toward sustainable agriculture, Agri Joy Pvt. Ltd. inaugurated its fully automated, soil-less hydroponics farm in Selaqui, Dehradun. This innovative facility harnesses cutting-edge Internet of Things (IoT) technology for nutrient regulation and temperature control, offering a futuristic model for precision farming.
The hydroponics unit, conceptualized and developed under the leadership of Mr. Chandramani Kumar, Director of Agri Joy Pvt. Ltd., aims to revolutionize horticulture by maximizing yield with minimal resource usage, without relying on traditional soil-based methods.
Joint Inauguration with Broad Institutional Participation
The farm was officially inaugurated in a joint ceremony by the Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO), Assistant Director of Agriculture (ADO), and Assistant Agriculture Officer (ARO), representing the Department of Agriculture and Electrical Services.
The event witnessed active participation from key stakeholders in the innovation and startup ecosystem, including delegations from Startup Uttarakhand, IIT Roorkee, and IIM Kashipur, highlighting the growing collaboration between academia, startups, and government for driving agricultural transformation.
Representing Agri Joy Pvt. Ltd., alongside Director Mr. Chandramani Kumar, were core team members Shashank Dhyani, Shivang, Abhishek, and several other contributors who played a vital role in realizing the project.
