A Grand Celebration at Town Hall, Bihar Sharif
The Nalanda Blood Group celebrated its 5th anniversary by organizing an event to honor blood donors at Kapoori Bhavan in the Town Hall of Bihar Sharif, Nalanda. Dr. Ayesha Fatima graced the occasion as the chief guest. In her speech, she commended the group for its dedication to serving society and emphasized the importance of such initiatives.

A Gathering of Blood Donors from Across India
The event saw participation from donors across Nepal, Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Lucknow, Rajasthan, Kolkata, and various districts of Bihar, including Begusarai, Purnia, Chhapra, Patna, Nawada, Jehanabad, Gaya, Lakhisarai, and Katihar. Thousands of donors came together to make the event a resounding success.
This marked the first time such a grand event was organized in the district, creating a benchmark for similar initiatives in the future.
The Story Behind Nalanda Blood Group
Nalanda Blood Group was founded by Syed Kamran Ashrafi after a personal crisis when he struggled to find blood for his own family. This experience motivated him to create a platform ensuring no one faces a similar challenge. Over the past five years, the group has tirelessly worked to spread awareness about the importance of blood donation under the motto, “Blood Donation is the Greatest Donation.”
Acknowledging the Heroes of Society

Dr. Ayesha Fatima, the chief guest, expressed her admiration for the group’s efforts, describing the blood donors as real-life heroes. She encouraged others to follow their example and contribute to societal welfare.
The event also recognized two exemplary donors:
- Fazil Gilani from Nalanda, who has donated blood 52 times.
- Atul Kumar from Delhi, who has donated blood 99 times.
Both were honored for their dedication and commitment to saving lives.

Other prominent members present were Saba Sheikh, Siddiqui Sahab, Sahil Alam, Anshu Ranjan, Muzammil Arshad, Mohammad Rehan, Mohammad Bariq, Sumaira Parveen, Afreen Saba, Sajid Alam, and many others. Their collective effort ensured the event’s success.
