Composed by the celebrated duo Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by renowned Padma Shri Awardee Prasoon Joshi, the 20 original tracks bring to life the timeless love stories, divine mischiefs, and sacred leelas of Lord Krishna. The musical, which premiered at Mumbai’s Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Auditorium, captures the essence of Shri Krishna’s life through a unique fusion of musical genres. The tracks combine Western symphonic elements with traditional Indian classical music, including haveli sangeet, Rajasthani and Gujarati folk, Sapakra, Raas Garba, and Hindustani semi-classical, all enhanced with local instruments like tabla, dholak, and shehnai. This blend of East and West, traditional and contemporary, is a testament to the musical genius of Sachin-Jigar.
The songs are sung by some of the most iconic voices in the Indian music industry, including Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal, Kailash Kher, Sachin Sanghvi, Parthiv Gohil, Keerthi Sagathia, and Jonita Gandhi.
